I saw a post in the keynote forum that said that 3.0 firmware is only for 2G Touches. Is this true?
Yes it'll still work for the 1G. But it won't have a lot of the features that are only for the 2G because of hardware.
So, really, even though it will work, there's not a lot of reason to upgrade?
If most of the features are going to be disabled anyway, is there any point to get 3.0?
Or, should I just sell my 1G and upgrade to a 2G?
Gay. Now im mad.
Yea. Srsly. Somebody tell the iPod Touch 1st Gen owners wtf they are supposed to do now..
You could do that. I plan on getting a new iPod touch (Assuming a new one is announced).
I feel sorry for 1G owners, 3.0 is gonna be unbearable (lag...)
what wont work?
Any sort of speaker or input stuff will be disabled too.
Plus, any accessories that will require the third input connection won't work.
