I was jailbreaking my iPod touch with ZiPhone when my pesky dog yanked my iPod touch off the cable. The iPod itself was phisically fine. But when I read the screen, the jailbreak had corrupted beacuase the cable was taken out. Now everytime I boot my iPod touch, it comes up with the Apple logo then it goes into recovery mode and it gets caught up in an infinite loop of saying BSD root: md0, major 2, minor 0. I tried to Restore it on iTunes but it dosen't recognise. Need help PLEASE!

1: disconnect your usb cable from your ipod
2: hold the power and home button untill your ipod goes off
3: press the home button for 5 seconds and plug the usb cable back in ( while still holding the home button ) and restore your ipod

    No work

I've already tried that method too, it gets stuck on the BSD thing.

thats is how u fix it and go back to 1.1.4 ( not jailbroken ) and then you are gonna need to re-jailbreak

this error is caused when your ipod gets disconnected to your computer so hold the usb wire into the slot

Yeah. I need some way of restoring it without the computer. Also, I think I've corrupted the OS.

try it before you say it doesnt work... i know it does

i told you how to restore it....

for the second time this is the only way to restore your ipod

1: disconnect it your usb cable from your ipod
2: press and hold the power and home button untill your ipod turns off
3: Once your ipod is off press and hold the home button for 5 seconds and then plug the usb cable into your ipod ( still hold the home button untill its in restore mode )
4: restore your ipod with itunes
    5: jailbreak again ( optional )

k, go into recovery, then go into ZiPhone GUI and select DFU Mode. Once in dfu mode, itunes should read it. Restore to 1.1.4!
If it is still in recovery after 1.1.4, jailbreak it using ZiPhone GUI. If still in recovery, use the NVRAM Fix from ZiPhone GUI. If still in recovery after all of this, PM me.
