Well, after two buggy/defective(?) iPod touches from weeks 38 and 39, I turned the thing in for a refund and used the money to get an iPhone. So far it seems to me the iPhone is much more robust, and the bugs I experienced with the touch have not surfaced with the iPhone. I can only guess it caused some problems when they ripped out all the software from the iPhone to make the touch. Of course, I now need to win the lottery or something, cause on top of the phone, I had to make a $750 deposit. But I was going to move to AT&T anyway, when my verizon contract expired next year. My credit won't be fixed that quickly, so I might as well start trying now.

Overall, I am just as impressed and enamored as the first day I had my hands on a touch.

$750 deposit?! Sweet Zombie Jesus!! How screwed up is your Credit?

I actually send back the Touch as well and am waiting impatiently for a friend to send me an iPhone that he picked up in Detroit to use with Rogers in Canada.

I agree that the iPhone has much more value per dollar compared to the touch.

I also plan to get an Iphone also and sell my Ipod Touch next year. My contract with verizon ends in August 08. I hate contracts!

Yeah, you've gotta buy a 2 year contract with AT&T to activate the iPhone. Until it's activated, you can't even do regular wifi or iPod stuff on it.

There's plenty of hacks out there already that will activate/unlock your phone for you.
