I havent got many covers linked to my music, and its a pain in the arse to pull my ipod touch out of my pocket (its switched to coverflow because of being in my pocket) then have to flick it and wait 2-3 secs for the list view to come up. ANybody know how to lock it out of coverflow view, or just block the function all together?

if you press the hold button and then put it in your pocket, then the cover flow won't come up

as for the disabling of it, since its part of the basic ipod system i don't think you would be able to.

You could possibly find a way to disable the accelerometer so the cover flow won't even start up, but then you would not be able to use the accelerometer features anymore

Agreed - Coverflow is eye candy but not very useful day to day

Your right it is eye candy but still I think it's fun to browse around in coverflow, not to mention it's just one more feature to show off to my friends.

QFT. That's the only thing I use cover flow for, showing it off to friends. I turn it sideways and they are all like "Oooooo" Then that's it.

It's cool for the first minute, then it's basically useless.

I use it when I don't know what I want to listen to...

I'd rather listen to tracks on the same cd than just shuffle around lots of different cds.
