I'm curious about my warranty on the current one I have. I was told that if I had a problem with my iPod without any visible physical damage, then they would give me a new one. Would this be a good opportunity to do that. Or should I just not do it and not have to deal with the guilt.

They would give you a new iPod Touch 3G (or refurbished), not the new iPod Touch 4G. But if there is nothing wrong with your current iPod, just sell it and use the money for the new 4G.

Good point, and I have plenty of money to spend on the new one, but how much would a 32GB 3rd gen go for nowadays, with no problems with it?

    USD$200-ish, depending on the condition.
