I need to carry a file thats 1.2 gigs from school on my itouch.

    okay so i need to do the rest of my film class project at home, and its in imovie since my school uses macs..i saved it , all the clips and project..but its like 1.2 gigs, lol.. how would i get that on my itouch, ?

    is there a way?..

    if the school let u install an scp client i would be good but looks like they dont.. let u install anything,

    ideas?

    I dont think you are going to have any luck unfortunatly. You could try making the video into a zip file but that won't compress it enough to make much of a difference. Do you have an older ipod that you can use. Like a 5g video or 4g etc.?

    look for a portable sftp app? then again your schools gona need a wifi network your ipod can connect to for that...

    possibly use a usb stick? u can get like 4gb's for about 30£

    above post is right about shrinking the vidoe size but apple is lame and it wont let you use your ipod as a portable drive. zip drives are pretty cheap and sold almost at any bartells/safeway or target

    ^__^... found the perfect solution for you. Flawless really.

    Use Java SSH on the school's computer. google java ssh, there should be many applications. Then you can use an online transfer utilty to transfer the file you have. This will only work ofcourse if you have jailbroke your ipod, if not your SOL.

    I outsmart myself sometimes ^O^
