Alright, so. My friend was over and wanted me to jailbreak his ipod (iPod 1st Generation 2.2.1 firmware), like mine, so I did (using quickpwn). I did everything as I normally have done.(without problems on my iPod). Everything was going fine. QuickPwn said that it was done jailbreaking the iPod. The little pineapple dude and stuff was on his iPod. When that was done, it rebooted. Well, no. It was a constant reboot. It just kept rebooting...and rebooting. Never getting past the Apple icon.

I've tried so many things to fix this.
•I've tried charging it for a while,
    • I booted into DFU mode, but I got an error when I tried to restore it. (I tried both my computer, and my dad's laptop, same error. [2002])
    • I've tried SSHing into it, it won't let me.
    • I've searched through this whole forum looking for answers. I found nothing.
    • I've tried using ZiPhone to do something with it. Still nothing.

I've been screwing with this thing for literally 4 hours. I feel so bad that my friend's iPod is screwed up. I'll do ANYTHING to fix it at this point. (No, I'm not giving him mine.)

Do you guys have ANY idea on what I am to do?

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Sparke

i had this problem with my 2g, but i dfu'd and restored and its fine
i guess you can try the general things that maybe fix something:
    -reinstall itunes, quickpwn, ziphone
    -try dfu many times
    -keep trying
other than that i dont really know how to help, but to say good luck

Maybe you could try shift restoring to different firmwares? Like maybe 2.0, 2.1, 2.2, 2.2.1. I don't know if this will work because I have a 1g iPod but it's a suggestion.
