I need help with iwol!

    I need help with the app iwol. It is supposed to wake up a computer that is sleeping but I don't know how to set it up. Can anyone tell me how or make a tutorial or give me a youtube link on how to set up and use iwol? oh yeah sorry I know this is in the wrong section but I couldn't find anywhere to put it.

    I didn't try this app but it should be similar to other wake on lan programs.

    first you will need to activate the wake on lan option in the bios of the computer you want to wake up. and you will need the mac address of this computer. It is also better to assignthe ip adress manually.

    then I guess you just need to enter the mac adress of the computer on your ipod and it will send the magic packet to wake up the computer.

    you could even do it outside your local network if you have a static ip and you forward the correct port on your router. And I think it work better if the computer is connected with ethernet cable and not wifi.

    I hope you will find a way to use it. I wish I could do this but I only have laptop and they don't support the WOL.

    where is the lan option on the computer?

    I think you have to check inside your bios. in the power options.

    if you are behind a router then the setup is not simple!!!. google it!!
