Ok. I'm on my last set of Apple earbuds. I went to go buy another set yesterday, only to find out that Apple discontinued the standard earbuds. Now they all have mics and remotes on them, which won't work with my 1G touch. I know the audio will still work, but I really don't want the extra remote thing if it's just going to be useless, you know?

What's a good set of comfortable, iPod-matching earbuds that's under $30? Or, is there still a way to get the normal Apple earbuds without the mic and remote?

Skullcandy earbuds are good. They might be had for about $30 or a bit more. No matter what you get make sure the buds have a rubber cover that seals your ear. Way better than Apple's standard fare. Softer on the ear and helps block out exterior noise to allow you to listen to your music at a lower audio level.

Sony MDR EX-56. They're cheap, they work, and they last.

I was hoping for a Skullcandy recommendation. I have a set of Lowriders that sound fine, but would look ridiculous walking around in town with.

I'll grab a set of matching Ink'd earbuds.
