I would! Way better than a touch! Loved it on my last trip across the pond!

I would keep the iPod touch I mean cmon...the Archos has an even weaker battery then the Original iPod touch(1G)...plus I have paid apps so I don't want to ditch them...I have over 100 apps not including jailbreak =P

    ummm...
You know, this one is complicated.
The CPU in the iPod Touch is better, and the overall user experience is going to be better on the iPod Touch. The Archos is jumpy and sometimes VERY slow.

I really do not know much about the Archos, but if I were you I would keep my iPod Touch. I just think its a better investment. I do like that the Archos has an SD slot and a few other really cool features that the iPod Touch is in dire need of.. but I like the iPod Touch better.

The processor is faster than the iPod. It is clocked at 800mgh

Ick, I meant RAM is better.
The iPod has 256, and the Archos has 128

    Sorry.

    Well...
Its kind of a see-saw, and maybe someone will have a different opinon.
But in my experience, RAM is more important because RAM bottlenecks a lot more than the processor. And the videos I have seen of that thing shows a lot of hourglass loading alerts that take forever.

Also, your looking at sucky customer service and hardly any firmware updates, they will also nickle and dime you to death for any apps or plugins you get from them. The App Store, as much garbage as it holds, is still a rock solid platform that has yet to have been beat. And the touchscreen is no where near as responisve as the iPod Touch, it still works good tho.

And one last thing, they are no where near as durable as the Touch. Everyone I know that has one, they get cracked very easy, and have tons of firmware errors.
