I need a good, free screen recorder

    It needs to have a feature to follow the mouse, I've found some great ones that you have to pay for but no really good free ones. If you could help I would really appreciate it. If you are looking for a good one that you have to pay for, Screenium is the BEST (I used the demo)

    +1 I use Jing just about every day and I love it too.

    It's not free but Screenflow is also great but you have to pay.

    Snow Leopard costs just as much as many of these screencast tools, and it has native screencasting

    I have Snow Leopard and I use the QuickTime X full-screen recorder... Is there another one?

    I'd go with Snow Leopard. Only $30, plus it's an entire OS in addition to a screencasting tool.

    Is the one in snow leopard fast because I tried Jing to record the iTunes visualizer (as a cool cell phone background) and it was super laggy. My computer shouldn't be the problem either because is a really new macbook
