I don't know what is wrong, but I can't seem to jailbreak my iPhone 3GS, that came with 3.1 OTB but upgraded to 3.1.2 Official FW.

I used blackra1n, but it kept looping DFU after the geohot picture. I used Pwnage tool to create a custom IPSW, but no matter how I restore (normally, recovery mode, or DFU), it either stucks at "preparing iPhone for restore", or gives me an error (1600 or 1604). If I use Pwnage tool and follow the steps through by remaking a new IPSW, it will flash the firmware correctly (I will see the custom boot logo), but then it will hang on DFU on restart (loop, like the blackra1n error). I have no idea what to do. Please, anyone, give me some advice. I am not new to the jailbreaking scene, I have had an iPod touch 2G which is jailbroken on 2.2.1 and upgraded to 3.0. But all of these problems with my 3GS really pissess me off!

Try making the drive partition bigger in Expert Mode, say around 700mb

That program only works for 3G not 3Gs

Also I'm having the same problem! Not restarting. I have no clue why

I think I know why. I got the iPhone 3G S with the new iBoot (359.3.2). They patched the 24kpwn exploit! ARGH!
