I know there probably won't be any way of doing this....

...but do you think that a version of 3.0 for the 3G S could be modified (once jailbreak is out) to work on the normal 3G to enable video with the 2MP camera (or copy the camera app out of the 3G S version and install it onto a jailbroken 3.0 3G).

Even though its a bit cr4p, its still capable of shooting video and I'm sure the old ARM processor is capable of doing the video edits as well (just a bit slower). I know all the other features wont work because of the new hardware but surely the video could be made to work? or not?

Though video recording on the 3G is possible, copying the camera app out of 3G S firmware won't do anything on the 3G. The app is designed to work with 3G S-specific hardware. It would not work on the 3G.

    At least you're thinking.

They would have to modify it to an extreme. Even then, it would mostly entail the user interface of the 3GS video recording app and the same drivers that Cycorder uses. It wouldn't be much better than Cycorder.
