This is just a little miracle story, and I hope maybe it can give some confidence or something to someone who's suffering a broken ipod.

About a year and 10 months ago, I posted here about my, at the time, new iPod Touch 2g. I had it for ~5 weeks, and it suffered water damage, and was FRIED. My post asked for possible remedies, I tried EVERYTHING. Salt, Salica, sending it back to apple, just everything anyone posted. Finally, I gave up.

About 20 minutes ago, I thought about the poor little bugger, and asked my mom where she had put it, she knew where it was thankfully, and she gave it to me. Just as a little tribute, I plugged it in, not expecting anything, and then it turned on. Not even my girlfriend can give me the butterflies I felt when I saw the low battery charging screen. It updated to OS 4.0 as I typed this, and now I'm letting the little guy charge!

I know most of you probably don't care, but I just thought that a few people would enjoy this quick little read, at the least.

tl;dr = DON'T THROW AWAY YOUR WATER DAMAGED APPLE DEVICES.

I started laughing when you said "Not even my girlfriend can give me the butterflies i felt" But that is amazing that your iPod randomly started working

I know the feeling. My girlfriend dropped her iPod Touch in the pool, and when I took the screen off, soaked it in rice for a few days, and then put a replacement screen back on it...it charged up and restored to 4.0...I felt so awesome for saving it's life...it's like CPR, but on a device...

Yes, yes it is. Unfortunately the internal speaker and headphone jack are broken. And the screen has what looks like an outerspace star field all over it, but only when there's white on the screen.

That's awesome, suggest if the screen gets worse, get a new screen.

Congratz buddy, really happy to read that it's been fixed.

If I were you, I'd do anything in my power to fix the headphone jack and maybe change the screen (if it gets worse).
