Do the following steps in order, and check if the error still persists after each step:
    1. Clear the queue in Installer
    2. SSH into your iPod, and enter the following commands [in Putty, or in Terminal (Ctrl + T in WinSCP)]
      Code:
      chmod +s /Applications/Installer.app/Installer
      chown -R root:wheel /Applications/Installer.app
    3. Go into Installer, go to the Uninstall tab, click on Installer under the System category, click on Reinstall on the top right corner.
I guess that'll solve the problem.. +rep me if it worked =)

WOW... I better shutup.. because i am about to flame.. SSH is an app that let you connect the ipod to your comp. You can get it in installer. Then once u have it in place. U need and SFTP client.. Windows-Wincp (whatever.. i dont have a windows.) Mac- there are two.. CyberDuck (very good and noob proof) or COCA (more advance).

Once u have it.. Click new connection.. In server put your ipod's IP address (preferences>wifi>the internet you r connected to>hit the blue arrow> search for IP address.) Then in username: root, password: alpine. Click connect and wait.. it may take a few tries. Be sure ssh is on, (download BossPrefs to control it, installer).

Then open your terminal on MAC (i dont know what is it on windows) and type this:
    Code:
    ssh root@(ipod's IP address)
Then select yes, then put alpine as your password and done.. You r connected in.

    Then type this code:
    1st:
    Code:
    chmod +s /Applications/Installer.app/Installer
Then click enter. Wait an then enter this other one:
    2nd:
    Code:
    chown -R root:wheel /Applications/Installer.app
Quit terminal and re-boot your ipod. Installer should now work.

Report back... and pls REALLY..give me some REP!!!

all you gotta do is go to the uninstall tab in installer. Then look for installer and hit reinstall. Everything should work fine after your ipod resprings

Install BSD Subsystem after clearing your queue.

im haveing the same problem when i tyoe the codes this is what I get

    chmod +s /Applications/Installer.app/Installer
    dyld: Library not loaded: /usr/local/arm-apple-darwin/lib/libgcc_s.1.dylib
    Referenced from: /bin/chmod
    Reason: image not found
zsh: trace trap chmod +s /Applications/Installer.app/Installer

    chown -R root:wheel /Applications/installer.app
    dyld: Library not loaded: libarmfp.dylib
    Referenced from: /usr/bin/chown
Reason: unsafe use of relative path libarmfp.dylib in /usr/bin/chown with setuid binary
    zsh: trace trap chown -R root:wheel /Applications/installer.app
