I just updated my jailbroken 1.1.1 touch to 1.1.3, and then paid the $20 for the additional apps. I'm very happy with the decision so far. I dig the new features (auto locate in google maps, rearranging doc, safari links on home screen, etc). I realize most/all these features were available through the third party community, but they're always more polished when Apple does them. I've also noticed a performance improvement overall which is great.

The only thing I miss is the custom backgrounds on the home screen. Black is so unappealing. It's surprising to me that Apple doesn't have this built in, or am I missing something? You can set the "background" but that selected image only shows up when you unlock. How lame is that?

We have had many threads of this, not to be rude, but we just don't care.

As for the software, the dock sucks.

Huh? I don't follow. If you don't care for the thread then why respond?

Had you only waited another hour you would've saved the $20.

    Oh well.

I think that $20 is a small price to pay for piece of mind. Apple could easily identify users who stole this software at any point in the future. Also, for me, there's big difference between stealing software that isn't otherwise available vs software that's actually for sale.
