Apple made 2.0 for the App Store. All the App Store apps work on all versions of 2.x, right?

Well then Apple made it REALLY easy for jailbroken app developers!! No more porting apps with higher firmwares! (eg. 1.1.3-->1.1.4)

If I'm right, then Apple has helped all those devs a BUNCH!!

    Thanks Apple!

dude the app store is basiclly based off of jailbreaking. I serioulsy think apple like stole ideas from installer and stuff. Yes they did improve it a lot but the orignal idea came from installer and the workers are getting paid so its way better.

    In some cases, yes.

However, Apple will NEVER allow apps like emulators, MXTube, and iSlsk in because of legal liability. They also have strict rules for appstore apps. Breaking those rules means your app won't get posted.

Aside from that, you have many cases where developers get greedy. For example, a $14.99 metronome app.

The app store is awesome - don't get me wrong. But, it's not an end-all solution to jailbreaking.
