I....Help.....photos app gone......!!!

    I had photos and other jailbroken apps hidden with POOF, okay so i install 3.0 photos is gone, can i get it back, do i have to jailbreak again? If i restore do i have to download and install 3.0 AGAIN!!!!!

    you need to either wait for the new jailbreak and put poof back in...

    or do a FULL restore, NOT from back up, and select NEW ipod
    this seems to fix most issues... only crappy thing is that you need to re-setup everything

    I don't care, really. My suggestion is that the "major inconvenience" of resyncing media probably is worth the "reward" of having a 100% functional device.

    Its a 1st Generation Anyway, I'm getting a new one for my birthday in august, hopefully for ME apple don't have a 3rd in september

    They probably will. See if you can get whoever is giving you the gift to hold off another month. With Apple, when a new model comes out and you bought the old model a month before, it is a very, very, sad time.

    docked some items on sb and hid their icons. Twitter apps, IM, facebook
    Had at least 10 apps there, can't install again, but I think when they get updated they will become visible.

    You aren't supposed to update from a jailbreak because it takes away memory from your iPod and if you hide apps they stay hidden.

    I found that out so I downgraded back to 2.2.1 (non-jailbroken) and then updated, and it worked fine.
