Everything ive seen so far has been no where near $40nz. Plus no ones forcing you to sign the $250 a month plan there are other options.

check the language translation dictionaries, they are all 38.99. and yes there are other options, the cheapest being $80 per month but then the 16gig costs $700. i saw somewhere that NZ was the most expensive place for 3g plans

    edit,, compare these prices.

NZ cheapest plan = $700 for phone with 250MB plan at $80 per month

In Australia the 8GB iPhone will be free on a 24-month Optus plan, charging NZ$105 per month for 700MB of data.
Optus' 250MB plan costs ~NZD$80 per month, with a A$7 monthly charge for the handset.

In the US AT&T will sell the iPhone for NZ$264 on a NZ$92 per month contract, with unlimited data.

In the UK, carrier O2 sells the 8GB version for NZ$258, with an 18-month, NZ$80 per month contract. This again gives unlimited data

Just wondering; is the 2.0 update also available since the app store is, or are the people using app store using 2.0 Beta firmware?
Do we still have to wait til friday to update our iTouches to 2.0?
