I have tried so many times

    dont call me a noob.
    that wont help me any.

    i cant get into dfu mode.
    ive tried it at least 30 times now and i cant figure it out.

    ive tried looking at a clock but it just isnt working.
    can someone please tell me the correct way to get into it please?

    Follow these simple steps.

    1. Plug in your iPod.
    2. Hold down both the home and power buttons for 10 seconds.
    3. Release only the power button, while holding the home button still, count to 10 seconds.

    4. You are in DFU mode, or you have done something wrong, if so repeat steps.

    EDIT: After step one, turn the iPod completely off. (holding power button untill red switch appears on screen.)

    i swear im doing it just as it says.
    does my ipod have to be all the way off or just in sleep mode?

    its stil not doing it.
    i dont know why its not working.

    should the connect to itunes screen ever come up ?

    Nope connect to itunes wont come up have itunes open so you know that it is in dfu and try counting with mississipi if that still doesnt work you are still doing something wrong

    the best way that works for me is plug in ipod
    step2:turn ipod off
    step3:hold power/sleep and home for ten seconds
    step4:after ten seconds let go of power/sleep but continue to press hold for 8 more seconds. DO NOT LET GO OF HOLD WHEN YOU LET GO OF POWER/SLEEP! hope it helps!

    and now no matter what i do the connect to itunes screen keeps coming up

    that happened to me. it just worked randomly one day for me. is it off and plugged into the comp. when you try to do dfu?

    yeah its plugged in and its just got the connect to itunes screen and i cant figure out how to get it out of it
