First of all: I lied, I have a home button. It just doesn't work.
Secondly: Yes I used the search button and yes I know ther've been a few threads about broken home buttons.

Anyways... my home button putted-out recently and all. Using Activator as a replacement (tap on the volume display).
But anyways(again), Is there still no way to fix the broken home button problems? I think it still works when I tried rebooting it when it randomly came up with the connect to iTunes screen* and all so if it still works for that is there no way to fix it at all?

*(You can get rid of this screen at any time by rebooting your device about 12-16 times, honest.)

Why not take it to your phone / ipod / gaming repair shop where perhaps they could fix the problem? Or you could contact Apple Support - if its jailbroken and you cant restore it then maybe sending it to Apple isn't the best idea !?

Already had it replaced by Apple for a faulty headphone jack, which sprung up AGAIN on the refurb they sent me, plus my warranty is over

Try hitting it hard on the back (not so hard it breaks but hard enough) a couple of times, it should fix the home button.
