I have lost all of everything, its not looking good... Please help!

(If you're in a hurry, just read the parts in bold)

I recently posted a whole long story about my iPod Touch having a problem (http://www.ifans.com/forums/showthread.php?t=175319) and it is really not looking good right now. Because now I have a whole new problem.

I had a problem with it not letting me restore. But that is not the issue here, the issue here is this:

In trying to fix the thing, it seems I deleted all my music. I mean from the computer. Every bit of music is gone. And I could just download it again, but (1)it took years to get and (2) some of it I made myself. I really need this music. Anyway, the thing is now still not restored, so it should still have my music on it. Anyway, what I need is a way to access the files on the thing and retrieve them, but I can't connect it to iTunes due to the problems I've been having.
I am using a Mac, and whatever solution is thought of must work in DFU. Any ideas?

    EDIT:

What I've tried: Why it didn't work:
sharepod (posted by iamkewl) / I am on a Mac
    Finding Mac-Compatible Alt. / Can't Find Much
Senuti / Doesn't work on DFU

What I am looking for (help-wise) right now (But I'll take anything):
A Mac-Compatible Song Transfer program that works on an iPod Touch which is in DFU.

    Use sharepod. Disable automatic syncing

Or Uninstall itunes, then use sharepod, then install itunes
