I dropped my iphone in the water, two days ago.
I left it to dry near a light bulb for two days. When I tried to turn it on, the touchscreen only functioned partially, a bit less then the upper half screen functions, from what I can see, the rest still functions normally, it still connect to my Wifi and the speaker is working.
Any tips on getting the rest of the screen to work? I for instance read that you should put the phone in a bowl of rice, should I try thing like that or is this end of story?

Yeah put it in rice, it absorbs all the water deep inside. For above post, I don't think so.

most likely not unless they found a way to seal off the sync cable

maybe they sealed behind it but that would still cause water damage if connected to anything....plus the headphone jack?

First get a Q-tip and put rubbing alcohol on the end and stick it up the headphone jack and absorb the water. Try that it worked for a bunch of people.

Is normal alcohol the same? I dutch so i'm not exactly sure what I should understand with rubbing alcohol. I'll give it a shot tomorrow, first need to get some sleep.
