iPhone 3G I have an iphone 3g with 5.14.02, can I downgrade without downgraded ios?

    if so how? I need to unlock the phone but that baseband isnt supported

    There is a slight chance you can downgrade the baseband, but you will need to downgrade the firmware, jailbreak it, then install fuzzyband downgrader. There is no garuntee this will work. It only does on iPhone 3G models with the 5.8 bootloader, which was early in the product life

    you can try fuzzyband, but i think that is original iphone only(i could be wrong) and also if it is for an old version i doubt it will work regardless. If the iphone is lower than IOS 4.1 you can unlock it anyway i beleive( i dont follow basebands as im an ipod touch user)

    i thought baseband cant be downgraded

    Fuzzyband works for the 3G, but there's a slim chance your phone will have the right bootloader.
