I have a quick question...

    Sorry, this may be kinda newbish, but, is there a way that i can save my files off my ipod touch when it is in DFU mode. I am planing on on redoing it with the unteathered.

    no. it doesnt even charge while in dfu

    damn, dident think so, i am trying the utjb w/o restore at the moment. hope it works. (kinda dont want to lose my ff5 save file. lawl)

    i believe if you hold the power button for about 30 seconds, you can get out of DFU mode. i remember doing it once, just randomly messing around with the button till i got out of DFU. correct me if i am wrong, but i think it was the power button.

    I am not sure, but, it wont see my ipod unless it is in dfu mode, I had the old JB not the semi, today at work, it locked up trying to close a app and i needed to shut it off, a few days ago i reformatted my computer and lost xpwn, and then i could not find a copy of xpwn to make the old patch files to turn it back on.

    does iTunes recognize a device that needs to be restored?

    when its in dfu mode, when it is not, windows dose not.

    ok so DFU mode is recognized. have to tried to Restore or Shift + Restore?
