Okay before anything else, I am using Gpsphone and playing Pokemon Emerald version. And so is my friend. We used the VBA Link emulator to trade with each other over a PC.

So I have Gpsphone on my iPod Touch 4th gen and I kept playing. My friend and I tried to do a link thing with our .sav files. Basically we knew it was virtually impossible to trade with an iTouch to another iTouch so we figured that we could have traded with OUR .sav files RUNNING ON VBA.

And it actually worked. Now we have already did everything and put back our .sav files back into our Gpsphones on our iTouches and it really does work, I am ABLE to play from where we last saved IN VBA.

So basically it was a success. Though little did we know something weird would happen. When we started playing normally again on Gpsphone, after the first time playing again from the trade, we normally would save right? So we saved our games and then here comes the problem: the next time the both of us try to load the game, it goes back to the last VBA save, get me? It goes back to the save after the trade. But then I already played more than that.

I just need to know how to play normally and to not keep on going back and back and back to the time that my friend and I traded. It just keeps going back and even if we save in another area in the game, it just goes back to the Pokemon Center.

Okay so I think the problem is that whenever I do an in-game save after using my save file in VBA and transfer it back to Gps phone it just won't update the .sav file that came from my PC.

Oh and by the way, when I try to play it on a PC using VBA, it creates a new .sa1 file (whenever i make an in-game save IN THE PC USING VBA). But this does not happen in my iTouch in Gpsphone.

    Someone help me please! :(

What you need to do is open up gpsphone load up your game click on your saved game and press start then go down to save dont click it and just let it run...
Open up your ssh program and find your gamesave and back it up on your desktop then delete it ,go back to roms folder then back into gba to refresh and make sure its not there then..Pick up your ipod and save the game..This will create a fresh save from where you are currently it will not start over..then just move somewhere else save and exit and reload to make sure its working properly..I had the same problem with ruby.

Like he said might work, or maybe the permissions got messed up. Make sure the save file permissions are set to read/write (Like in iFile).

Umm, it's hardly a discovery. If you wanted to, you could trade Pokemon from XD Gale of Darkness into the save file and move that save file from the PC to GPSPhone.

Figured it out. Same thing happened to me. Find your savefile in your ssh program (I use winSCP), right click it and go to properties. There you must switch the owner to "mobile."
