Same here. Each user has an individual account with a seperate folder system. Well, theres a program to mask the processes. I was fortunate enough to be in a programming class, with people who knew how to work around it.

Couldn't you just use the .jar launcher instead of the .exe one, so then it would be java.exe?

It still says "Java executable file" next to it even if I just have minecraft.jar

Wow that sucks! My high school gives us laptops and everyone plays Minecraft. All exes are blocked except for native ones. So we just use the jar haha (and exes will work from flash drives too though)

My school was forced to unblock minecraft.net because of a minecraft club that is starting, so half of my tech class downloaded it the day it was unblocked. :D

I have had a long history on the computers in my school, I have been blocked for things ranging from adding my account the the administrators workgroup ( it took them several months to figure out though), to dual booting Ubuntu. Considering this (and my strong friendship with the tech guys) I doubt I would get in trouble for something as small as downloading minecraft :).

Yes. I'm widely famous for "hacking" :)rolleyes:) at my school, since everyone there is a noob (except the tech guy who comes every once in a while). Me and this other kid are practicallly the only people who know how to work around things.

One time, I added the universal account "Student" to the administators group. Was fixed a day later. :p

yr 10s at the beginning of the year sign a contract that states no- nonwork things on the computer.

yr 10: *plays computer at the canteen, I think it was GTA*
Teacher: Hey cool is that GTA? I'll show you this epic trick
    *another few teachers swarm in.

    Talk about enforcing the rules

Just a comparison of how my school doesn't really enfonre this kinda policy. You can't really expect anything to get your computer priveledges back
