...update my jailbreaked v1.1.1 firmware to v1.1.2. Could OKtoPrep be causing the problem?

I have the same problem. Click restore after the error can upgrade my ipod to 1.1.2
But during jailbreak, it is always saying that can not connect to my ipod, try restart....

Well, I figured out what was causing the problem. I used the wrong firmware for updating it. To find the firmware links, please search Google.

    still get the error

I downloaded several 1.1.1 and 1.0.2 firmware files and keep getting the same unknown error (5) when trying to downgrade, could the error be due to other reasons other than the firmware????

can anybody provide links to downloads that worked for you ???

    Thanks,
    LSTDOR

Ah of course - I join the idiot club - I was tearing my hair out last night after I kept getting error 5! And also after the OktoPrep issues where it didn't install properly for a lot of people (seems to be fixed now)
I should have looked closer at the firmware *sigh*

that same problem happened to me several times. What i did (mac user xD) was restarting the computer, and tried to restore my ipoT again, and it worked
