I am CONSTANTLY trying new apps on my touch, and I usually end up having to restore about every 90 days. 1 problem I always ran into was the "running out of dic space" message. I have tried the manual winscp method and got it to work, but its a pain the arse. And every time I used a "fix disc space" app through installer, it messed a lot of stuff up. Every post on every forum said the same thing, USE BOSSTOOLS. But I also found many posts swearing it simply doesnt work on 1.1.4. Well I got it to work. I guess because I always waited until I NEEDED it to actually install and use it could have been the problem. Bosstools would move fonts (USUALLY), but would NEVER relocate the apps. It would try, then just stop and the free disc space didnt change, and it still said "relocate apps". Well this last restore I decided to use the tool before I installed ANYTHING (it made me install BSD), and voila, worked like a charm. I hope I didnt speak too soon, hopefully as I install my apps they work correctly. Now to the loooooooooong process of actually getting Customize 2.0 to WORK CORRECTLY.....sigh......chmod this, symlink that...........why wont IT JUST WORK. Thats for another thread. I digress.......... Hope this helped somebody. Summary: Use Bosstools to relocate fonts/apps before you install anything else.
