not really a true disk mode. It's not that much different from having to launch winscp or something. You still need wireless to access sftp so you can't use this anywhere you want.

    better than nothing though

    access from windows

Hi folks you can use touch copy to add files and stuff.

if you want to explore the root etc i used ibrickr_v0.91 this is free it may be for the iphone from what ive read, but it worked no probs on my jailbroken ipod touch software 1.1.1.
you can upload to ipod touch and also download stuff back to windows.

these 2 methods are via usb and no additional files are required on the ipod touch for them to work.

if you use ibrickr it does not need installing so could be taken with you on a usb stick to use on any computer.

hope this help everyone out there

    yes

not had a problem with either program plus ibrickr is free you can use touch copy for 15 days and about 50 files but for exploring the drive ibrickr is better it lets you go everywere.
touch copy is good as an alternative to itunes as well and you can take your music off with there file names etc also any pictures you have on there

ps i only use the ibrickr for the files part so not to sure about sounds ringtones and applications sections.

but for files it is easy

    firmware

hi i have firmware 1.1.1 but ibrickr says it does not work on ipod touch at all .

here is the link to the site http://cre.ations.net/creation/ibrickr
it says firmware for iphone 1.1.1 ruins it .

but im using it happily on ipod touch 1.1.1

just download it and try it only a small file extract it and run ibrikr.

quote from there site (The iPhone 1.1.1 update ruins everything! IPHONES WITH THE 1.1.1 SOFTWARE UPDATE DO NOT WORK WITH iBrickr! I'm doing my best to get iBrickr working with 1.1.1 firmware but it's an uphill battle.)

this works no problems on ipod touch 1.1.1 so i dont see why it would not work on ipod touch 1.1.2

let me know how you get on
