you mean the keycode that you have to enter if you turn passcode lock on?

thats the only password I know of. your best bet for that is probably a reastore, then remember your password! (I dont use one, but when I did I kep it as a contact "Ipod pssword" on my phone. you could also put it on a piece of paper under the insert of your shoe or something like that)

Was it random numbers or did it spell out something?

Just ask yourself what would you change it to. :p

The three most famous passwords used (maybe urs is one of them)

    1) sex (only 3 letters so cant be)
    2) god (only 3 letters so cant be)
    3) power (5 letters)

Actually... this post was pretty useless... it's good for those who like to know random, useless and unverified facts.

How to reset Ipod touch passcode you forgot

t seems like you will have to restore it which i have researched and seems to be the only way, this will sadly erase all content so if you are willing to put back your music/videos etc.. back, then go for it you do this by

    1) Connect the iPod Touch
    2) Press and hold sleep+home until the device reboots.
    3) Keep holding until that "please connect me to iTunes"-screen appears
    4) iTunes says something about having detected a touch in recovery mode. Allow it to do its thing.

If you get the -18 error, proceed:

    5) Disconnect the iPod Touch
    6) Close iTunes
    7) Reconnect the iPod Touch
    8) iTunes launches and shows message as in step 4, but this time, the recovery will work

**PS THE "HOME BUTTON" IS the that button on the bottom of the ipod touch screen which is pretty easy to find since there is no button on the ipod touch but that one and the sleep awake button is offcourse the one you use to turn it off or put it to sleep

    Enjoy,
    Steve

the old ipods you could go into the ipod on your computer and there was a file that stored the pass.

My sister did the same thing on her 2nd gen nano a while back and all i did was delete that file and i worked.
