I only got my 8gb ipod touch this weekend and I am a bit of a techno numpty that could do with some help.

Firstly, when using the wifi to access web pages are you charged or is this free?

Secondly, When using the google maps feature is there any way of changing it from KM to miles?

Thirdly, are there any decent offline uk maps out there, I can only find them for certain areas and i need it to cover the whole of the UK ad also tell me what the mileage will be from A to B.

And finally, (I did say I was a numpty LOL) I have copies of a few albums stored on my PC, I want to get them on my ipod but i am getting very confused, can anyone give me the 'ipod for dummies' breakdown on how to do it please.

    Many thanks

    Izzy xx

wifi is free, you have to connect to your Router through Settings > WiFi...

To put albums on your ipod, download iTunes. Transfer all your songs to there, by dragging and dropping them to your library at the top of the sidebar.

When your ipod is connected, there are some tabs which appear. click the music/songs one... and select your songs from there. It will be best to put a playlist first.

    Welcome to the forums.

    Thanks for the reply.

I must be the only person that owns an ipod that doesn't have any music on it! I will give it a go later!

The only solution for miles/km is to change the language to US-English. It seems to be an Apple/Google oversight.

LOL, do you only play games on your iPod? Well now I know why you've "only" got 16GB.

exactly. imo, many people bought the iPod touch (2nd Gen) JUST for games. It was made for games anyway, for the appstore.

And i got 16GB because i USED to have loads of songs. I actually only have 50 on my iPod, but to me that's nothing.

I have like 10 movies on my iPod as well... along with a LOT of games.
