you do not go into dfu mode when using winpwn you just need to go into recovery mode.

best bet is restore to official 1.1.4 then load winpwn hit ipwner (if touch is in normal mode this will kick it into recovery mode then pwn), then restore in iTunes with a custom firmware

use ibrickr v0.91 to boot the phone/touch out of recovery/DFU mode.
Its simple as, if the background goes red, it will boot correctly
if it goes green then it needs to be restored.

yes, you first have a official 1.1.4 ipod firmware restored on the device then ipwner the 1.1.4 firmware then with a custom built firmware to hand simply restore using the custom firmware

I found a way to get out of DFU Mode and It Worked for me:
    1. Reboot iPod. This is done by holding power and home button.
    2. Once screen turns off, Apple logo will pop up. Plug in your iPod now!
    3. iPod will be in restore mode for a split second. This is when you pwn your iPod.
    4. iPod Pwned! Now you will stay in recovery mode!
    5. Download iBrickr and kick out of recovery mode.

Use ZiPhone to put it back to normal mode.
