Alright, I have found it very strange that everybody thinks the new cases for the 3x3 cm screen will belong to the nano. Why, when they just upgraded their nano last year with a camera, fm radio faster, more storage, etc would they decided they need to make it smaller and with a touchscreen?

Why wouldn't it be the new shuffle? It is the same size, they have never really make any major update to the shuffle either. Can anyone explain why this is not the popular idea?

I thought people were saying its the new shuffle, not the nano.

Nah, people have been calling it the nano.

    I agree with the OP.

I think it will replace both the nano and the shuffle, personally. It sounds like it will be too fancy out to be a shuffle, which is typically the cheap device with no bells or whistles. Since there hasn't been any word of an upgraded Nano or Shuffle, this must be the "both" category.

apple update/upgrades their devices every year, the "new nano" might be smaller but it has a bigger screen than the current one
most companies when they upgrade/update a device they often make it smaller/slimmer or add something better

the shuffle never had a screen and its always been small and cheap($), so most likely its not a shuffle
