I was recently on a trip with a bunch of friends. I mistakenly lent my jailbroken iPod touch 2g to my friend, who continuously played X-Plane for about 2 hours until the battery ran out. Now, as expected, my iPod will not turn on. I am back now, but on my Mac, I forgot that I accidentally deleted my rslite folder on my desktop.

My question now is, how do I get all of my programs back onto my iPod? Will I have to re-jailbreak it using the tutorial, or is there another way?

    Thanks.

is it in the recycle bin? can't you just pull everything out? or did you empty it? if so, just re-download everything. then just go to whatever step you need to boot, and boot it. It'll have to charge first though.

All you need to do is plug in your ipod for 30 minutes. Then turn on the ipod and put it in DFU mode and use the booter. Everything should be fine and dandy.

Yeah, it will recharge even if it doesn't show it. Just boot after 15-20 mins.

I REALLY don't think the Original Poster knows what a tethered jailbreak was. What I got out of that post, is that he wants to restore the whole iPod.

Just boot it up manually, or with a boot program (which I don't recommend at all).

Why dont you recommend a boot program?

Every boot program I've tried has either gone too fast or too slow, or just not plain worked at all. I've found manual is the sure-fire way to do it.

No, I do know what a tethered jailbreak is actually.

Aside, I tried to manually boot up the iPod, but I kept getting an error message:

    Code:
    scott-garys-macbook-2:~ scottgary$ cd ~/Desktop/rslite
    scott-garys-macbook-2:rslite scottgary$ ./rslite
rslite - by the iPhone Dev Team, 2009.
