Well i was walking home and my ipod touch just slipped out of my pocket and hit the concrete on its edge

. Now there is a small dent just above the volume button near the rounded off edge (metal rim bit). Its not that noticeable, but i just bought a case and was awaiting its arrival when this just so happened (the case will cover the dent anyway). The ipod works fine and everything, i just hate the fact that i have only had it a little over a month and have a frekin dent!!!
Is there anyway apple will take it back and give me a new one?

I helped Abcmsaj with this problem he had as well, and I asked a member of Apple, and they said if it was accidental damage, then you have to pay.

I have a huge one in the back?

I'm not paying to get it fixed because I could probably buy a new one with the money it would cost..

yes. if u have the 1g, it is easy, just ssh in and delete /sbin. then take it to apple and say
    "it broke. idk how"
just in case they dont take it, u just DFU in and shift-restore in itunes.

OR... You could realize you screwed your own ipod up and live with it.

Of course you learned it from Gity, he knows everything about SSH. You might try looking online for some options, I know there are a couple sites that do screen replacements and stuff, but they also do minor body work that is astronomically cheaper then Apple is asking.

Buy a graphical skin from www.decalgirl.com. It will cover the dents. They have hundreds of graphics to choose from.

My trick was I waited until my iPod was really beat up and giving problems to trade it in for a fresh one. I suggest you do the same.
