Ok, so last night I jailbroke my touch to 1.1.3 with the phone apps. Everything worked great and as it should. Though I did notice that my 3rd party apps were missing (normal right?).

So I went into Installer and was going to reinstall the apps. I was scrolling through my uninstall section and saw the 1.1.2 iPhone Apps, so I decided to get rid of them, since I was on 1.1.3 now (bad idea!). When I went to my home screen I noticed they were missing, so I thought no big deal, I will just install the "1.1.3 Phone Apps". Then it froze up and restarted to the recovery mode.

Still thought no big deal since I have everything pretty much backed up.

Well, today I keep trying and trying but I cannot restore it! Here are the exact steps of what I am doing, please someone tell me what I am doing wrong!

    - I have downloaded the 1.1.1 restore and the 1.1.2.
    - First I hold option and click restore on itunes
    - I choose the 1.1.1 restore
    - Once completed, I jailbreak via jailbreakme.com
    - Then I go into installer and update and install the OktoPrep
    - Then I go into itunes and option-click update and choose the 1.1.2 restore
    - Then when that finishes I close iTunes
    - I run the Jailbreak.jar file
    - Then I am promoted that it is complete, and that my touch will reboot, but it never does, it only brings up the recovery mode icon (plug into itunes screen)

I have no idea what I am doing wrong, please help me!

    Thanks in advance,
    Chris Mathews

go back to the jailbreak.jar file now. theres a button that says "boot from recovery". just hit that and it should reboot your ipod and it should work now.

    Chris,

This is an issue with the updated firmware (1.1.3). Your iPod is just fine, just use the jailbreak.jar (or preferably the windows.dat if you have access to a Windows computer), and have it "boot from recovery".

Your iPod will restart, load, then restart again and awaken unlocked.

    Hope this helps!

    Eric

Is it supposed to take a while, it has been on "Waiting to Reboot" for a while now

Yes I do, but now I am trying from the beginning and when I get to the 1.1.2 jailbreak I should do as normal, but when it comes back to the recovery screen I should reopen jailbreak.jar and choose Boot from Recovery...right?

yep. oh, and make sure you close all processes of itunes before running the jailbreak.jar file. that might be what your problem is as well. do you know how to close processes?
