so i was on a 1.1.3 dev team soft upgrade and decided that today I would update to 1.1.4 and peform a real jailbreak. But when I try to restore my iPod to any version higher than 1.1.1, it goes into restore mode and is not restored. When I restore with 1.1.1 I got the spinning wheel under the apple logo for the other firmwares I just stay stuck in restore mode (USB cable and apple sign). I tried to enter DFU mode several ways but it never worked out. Not even with ziphone who blocked in the middle of the process.

Jailbreakme.com and everything works. I just cant upgrade. I already tried to reinstal itunes and even tried to restore on another pc. Itunes gives me various errors like 6001, 6002, 6003, and 6004. I searched for that, tried everything, but nothing worked.

Please help or I'll send my pod back...

have you tried downloading a firmware then putting it into restore mode then hit shift+ click and picking that firmware.

like downgrading but upgrading if that makes sense.

You could try to get a new ipod by following this method:

    1) Go to walmart and buy a new IpodTouch.
    2) Put your currrent Ipod in the new ipod box.
    3) Return the new ipod box with the old ipod in it.
    4) Shazam...!

tried to restore --> failed and got a white screen
tried 5 other times to restore --> worked the fifth time, my screen got black, spinning wheel and... 1.1.4
