I can't get the symlink from /root to my mobile finder directory to work

    i'm typed in ln -s /private/var/mobile/Applications/9CF9A4EB-8C4A-4C2B-BDF9-C2E2AADB529C/Documents /

    what did I do wrong?

    how can I get it to work then?
    someone said all you need to do it create a link between the root directory + thedocuments directory of mobilefinder

    Well first off you are linking from the mobile directory and not the root. There is no space between the directories you want to symlink and I doubt thats the full address for the documents folder.


    It's been pulled from the App store so I can't get it to check.

    thats the documents folder i want to link to.
    it needs to be linked to the documents folder in the mobilefinder.app to show the full system acess.

    How do you find the installation directory (marked by X's in the tutorial)?

    you have to shh into your ipod at "/var/mobile/applications"

    Then go through all the folders tiill you find the right one

    Just look at the time on the install and it shouldnt be hard to figure out. There is a really easy way to do this in winscp

    Oh, so does this trick only work with jailbroken iPods I'm assuming? lol
