So I recently bought the 2.0 firmware update for ipod touch and I've already updated my iPod with the 2.0.1 update that came up. My problem is that I want to jailbreak my iPod but for that I need the .ipsw file that is supposed to be somewhere on my computer, but I JUST CAN'T FIND IT. I went to the iPod Software Updates folder but it's empty. I've already selected the option to show hidden files and it's still empty and I don't know why, since I paid my freaking 10 bucks to get my firmware.

Please help me! I don't want to download another file from God only knows where that is supposed to be already on my PC.

    Thanks!

    xp or vista?

    xp:

    C:\Documents and Settings\Your User Name\Application Data\Apple Computer\iTunes\iPod Software Updates

for vista just go to roaming after application data and continue

if application data doesnt show up click tools then folder options and make sure "show hidden folders" is checked

Sigh, I guess I will need to download it because I just can't find me. It just freaks me out the fact that I actually paid for the thing and it doesn't show up anywhere.

    Thanks

    Dont download anything

Go to start menu --> run and run %appdata% and then from there go to apple computer or something and the rest you will figure out
