Put it in DFU mode, not restore mode.

keep trying, also try reinstalling iTunes, or connecting your iPod to ZiPhone, and have ZiPhone boot it in"normal" mode

first of all, you didnt break your iPod so in the future stop making false statements just to get peoples attention...

and keep trying DFU mode.... or actually you might have to install iTunes 7.5 for it to work...

ZiPhone can't do anything to 2.0 users. It's only compatible with 1.1.4.

False, yes ZiPhone can put 2.0 into DFU mode and try uninstalling iTunes and make sure you have iTunes 7.5 installed. You can download it here at http://www.filehippo.com/download_itunes/3402/

He may need help and he may think ghis ipod is over so please do not get to excited.

You may need to go to itunes 7.5 and then try to restore. Enter DFU mode as well or try to force restore.
