iOS 4.0 I bricked my Ipod when updating

    Hello i updated my Ipod Touch 2g the MB number to iOs4.0.
    Update is no error completed but i cant activate my ipod (it say connect to itunes).
    Itunes then tells me to restore what also works perfect but i get back to the same problem.
    i have not jailbroke ipod.
    my ipod has no warranty anymore and i am really pissed of that i bricked my ipod using apples software update

    It should work.

    If it doesn't, redownload the iOS 4 firmware. That fixed it when I'd had a similar problem.

    after some tries get in DFU (display was black but when connecting to computer itunes say device to restore found).
    i could restore.
    but again i cant activate my ipod.my itunes says ipod is broken.
    i redownload now 4.0 again but can take some time (slow connection)

    If that doesn't work the likely explanation is that there is physical damaged to your iPod.

    The only reason for a DFU restore not to work is something to do with a bad firmware, computer or a hardware issue with your iPod.

    i cant imagine that its a physical damage. i never dropped it and it nearly has no scratches. i used now another usb cable but got no success also.
    however i updated my ipod to 3.1.3 some months ago and that worked perfect.
    any other i can do? or does anybody know what prize a repair would cost?

    well if there is no damage they should replace it for free.
