I bought a 2g 16gb from craigslist

    now it wont work and i get error 13 on 1 usb port and error 1611 on another usb port...
    when plugged in it has flashing Apple logo

    i tried all those methods, will the apple store in the mall fix it?

    DFU Mode Instructions:

    Plug it into your computer, ignore whatever its doing.
    Hold down the home & power buttons until the screen goes black.
    After the screen goes black, wait 1 sec, then release the power button but keep holding home.
    Keep holding home for about another 15 seconds, or until your computer beeps.

    iTunes should open up, say something about recovery mode.
    Now press the big RESTORE button.

    Wait for that to be done.
    Youre all set.

    i get error 1611 on one port then error 13 on a different usb port.

    LDuffey4, although I agree, I think the "Dumbass" part was completely unnecessary.

    hi this happened to me n after i searched around on alot on different forums i finnaly found a solution that worked i first of all triesd to update itunes t see if the most recent 1 was installed. then i created a new user n openend itunes n connected ipod the clicked restore n everything works finee. plz let me know if this doesnt work

    You might also want to try unplugging other connected usb devices other than your iPod touch.
