    Hi All!

I am hoping someone can help me. I was trying to restore my 3G iphone, but I get the following error from iTunes:

"There was a problem downloading the iphone software for the "user's iphone". the requested resource was not found."

Can someone please direct me to the correct resource to fix this?

    Stats:
    MacBook (Unibody)
    OSX 10.5.7
    iTunes 8.1

    Thanks a bunch!
    J.

Is this doing a factory restore or restoring to a custom firmware?

Might try finding the firmware you want to restore to; save it on your computer and restore to that. When you download the firmware click "Save As" and change the file extension to .ZIP; then after it downloads change it back to .IPSW.

You'll have to put the iPhone in recovery or DFU mode but might give it a try. Also, not sure how familiar you are with things; but if this phone is unlocked don't restore to 2.2.1 or you'll lose the ability to unlock it.
