    Ok, so my friend asks me to do a few things for his iphone 2g.

    I download itunes, and connect the iphone 2g. It said there was a software update;

    Unfortunately, i thought there was no harm, so i clicked yes- to update to the new software. It downloaded the new ware, and i restored the phone.

    NOW the problem is that i realized my friend's iphone was UNLOCKED. When i connect the iphone, it says "The SIM card inserted in this iPhone does not appear to be supported."

    I realize now i made a mistake by updating the ware.

    Is there anyway to get it back to the way it was? My friend is going to kill me.

    did it ever update?

    if it did, just jailbreak 2.2 if it didnt, just jailbreak whatever he was on...

    even though the hardware is already unlocked just make sure you choose unlock or whatever (again) (then i think it puts it in the firmware)

    just a thought, hope it helps.

    Sweet, thanks.

    Now i have another problem;
    I've gotten to the point where we have to wait for the steps in Quickpwn

    Its on the first step "Wait for your iphone to connect in recovery mode" and wont move the the next step.

    What do i do? I'm using windows xp, newest itunes, etc.

    I would try on my other computer but on that one it says "Quickpwn has encountered a problem and has to close".

    God i hate computers. Help please.
