OK - So I just Jailbroke my Ipod Touch 2nd Generation with 3.0 Software, maybe a month ago and last night I was watching YouTube and ran out of battery, I just thought whatever, (this happens quite alot) so I just went to bed...

Today, I get up and get it then plug it into my Laptop and it says the dead battery connect to iTunes thing and so then it goes to the Apple Logo screen for about 1 minute and then restarts the whole process (goes back to dead battery, apple logo) and so I thought it had disconnected somehow, so I did it again, same thing... done 5 times all the same thing! HELP! I am leaving for 2 weeks tomorrow morning and I am riding for 9 hours, I NEED MY TOUCH!

    Please help ASAP.

(also, I can't put it in recovery or recover it because it does not connect to iTunes.)

(I've tried on two different computers with different cables.)

Put it into DFU Mode, then restore.

Please search before you start a new thread. The amount of these problems that keep popping up is just unreal.

I couldn't find any other topic with the SAME problem, I'm quite sure its a HUGE difference with the fact the battery was Dead, I could not put it into DFU mode.

    Had the same problem

    DFU works!

    just hold on/off + home

    for 10 secs

stop holding on/off, but still hold home for ~ 20-30 secs until iTunes found your iPod

Even if dead, the iPod should still be able to be put into DFU Mode.
