Hello, first of all do not panic, there is a really small chance that your iPod is bricked (About 0.01%).

Try to press HOME + POWER buttons at the same time for 10 seconds, then when the Apple Logo appears on your iPod press the HOME+POWER buttons at the same time for another 10 seconds and then release the POWER button, and keep the Home button pressed till iTunes recognises your iPod in DFU mode.

Now press Restore and let it restore (without suppling an IPSW).

Try this many times and it should work

Make sure to have internet while restoring, its nessecary

Yeah, so as omokas said, you NEED to have internet, otherwise you wont get the firmware (If you dont already have it) and it wont register with Apple.

What number code did you get?
