ok so all domains (or so i thought) have at least two parts:

    youtube
    .com

    key:
    domain name
extention (.com .net .org .biz and so on)

but today i found this website:
    http://youtube/
it has no extention, how is this possibal.

it's not a redirect to youtube its an actual website

Got Firefox? It fixes the url automatically if you mess it up.

So if, in Firefox, you type 'youtube' into the address bar, it changes to youtube.com without you doing anything.

    http://youtube/ is not possible

It's not possible unless you set up an HTTP server on your computer in which:
    http://localhost/

    would be possible.

But that's the only exception, unless it autocorrects.
