1. Arkat DoubleSense 3.0 2. Dungphp's Desire HD/ or Vivo glass Sense ROMs 3. MIUI! 4. MIUI V4 [ I include as a separate one because as of now there is no official MIUI V4 via MIUI China for the HD2, just a port of a port that works rather well for the most part ] 5. Supersonic 0.7 [ might be one of the best Sense ROMs for the HD2, as it's built from the EVO OTA, so it's made for similar hardware, not newer HW, as many Sense ROMs are] 6. Xperia ROM 7. CM7ite [ really good CM7 based ROM with a lot of crap cut out, so it's like a 45 MB .zip that only needs a 100 MB system partition] 8. ReduxHD2 [another small ROM, this one is pure Gingerbread, but with revamped status bar toggles] 9. IceCreamTosti or NexusHD2 ICS [ both ICS ROMs, the first one is based off Team Kang's work, with ROM Control settings, the 2nd one has both pure ICS and CM9 available ] 10. SensationXL Stock Sense 3.5 Those are just NAND ROMs, you can find a lot of them [ or similar ROMs] available in SD format also. As for your Twitter questions- Yes, you have to use MADGLR every time you boot, but unless you're going to boot into recovery or into an SD ROM, you don't have to do anything; just let it boot like you would any other phone. If it doesn't already have Android installed on it, you have to first flash a new radio, HSPL, MADGLR, then CWM. [ More on that later once you actually get it ] Also, if you do decide to dual boot with WP7, make sure you actually like WP7 enough to use it daily; you can revert back to Android on NAND from WP7, but you have to restore to stock WM6.5 first, then reflash the radio and whatnot, so it's a bit of a pain if you decide you don't like WP7.
Hey will you be using this thread anymore because if not could some of the Mods (@_JKK_)Rename it to HTC HD2 Discussion and delete posts 1-12. Thank's
I have a tiny weeny problem, with some of the ROMS it says download the TMOUS or the EU version but i'm buying a Telstra version, so what one would I download. Also is the only reason that the version matter because of the internal storage or the Carrier? Because that wont really matter for me then.
It's because of the storage. Every HD2 variant is GSM, so it doesn't matter what the ROM is for; it only really matters if its a Sense ROM [or another ROM that requires a EXT4 partition to function]. The EU variant MUST have an EXT4 on the SD card in that case, as 512 MB NAND isn't enough for some of these ROMs but the Tmobile one doesn't, as it'll fit on 1 GB. * I just looked it up, apparently the Telstra one has 512 MB NAND, so you'll have to use EU ROMs.
Also, if it's an AOSP ROM like MIUI, CM7/9, something soure built, etc etc, than the same version of the ROM will work on both EU and TMOUS HD2s. It's only the bloated ROMs like Sense or Xperia that need the certain version.
There's one Sense 3 ROM [ Sense of Eclipse? ] that'll fit on 512 MB. As for your twitter questions- You COULD just flash a 400 MB partition, but that'll give you a really big system partition, and not much space for apps on NAND; it's pretty pointless to have that much system space if you're using MIUI, CM7/9, or any other AOSP ROM. 400 is still kinda big even for Sense ROMs [ 330ish is a pretty normal size] When you wipe data/factory reset, you do it via CWM. MADGLR is just the way to get into CWM [or boot an SD ROM, or a few other things] You still use CWM like you do on any other phone.
What are the apps that you have installed on your HD2 the only apps that I will probably Install are Twitter, Facebook, Gmail, AirPenguin, Angry Birds, Beautiful Widgets (if i'm not running a Sense 3.0 ROM) Flashlight, Custom Music Application (maybe I have never tried the HTC Sense 3 one!) and Root Explorer
I usually have Seesmic Facebook ES File Explorer a few different launchers Google Voice MX Video Player ICS+ Browser [when I'm on ICS ROMs] MiLocker [when I'm not on MIUI ] Fancy Widgets [when I'm not on Sense] Cracked Lite Fast Five Movie game Ceramic Destroyer Jewels Deluxe [ a Bejeweled clone ] That one Mac OS 6 emulator...I forget the name Those are about all the apps I use total, not counting the stock ones. I usually still have about 400 MB free NAND space after installing all the apps I want.
Well I'm going on holiday today so I wont have it till Sunday(for me)/Saturday(for you)/Monday(for me)/Sunday (for you)/Tuesday )(for me)/ Monday (for you)
