This was based on the other guide, but is far simpler and does not break Customize.app's icon ordering tool.

STEP 0: I suggest backing up your N45AP.plist file, just in case - System/Library/CoreServices/SpringBoard.app (I believe)

STEP 1: Download the attached Info.txt, rename to Info.plist

STEP 2: SFTP (WinSCP, or whatever - I use FileZilla) to Applications/MobileMusicPlayer.

STEP 3: Replace its Info.plist (I suggest backing it up first!) with mine. Set its permissions to 755.

    STEP 4: Reboot iPod.

STEP 5: Use Customize to hide Music and Videos, and place iPod wherever you want.

    That's it! GL

EDIT: I don't know what will happen if the N45AP.plist was edited based on the other guide. I figured this out with my own .plist, which had only been modified by Customize, ever. So if it doesn't work, try to undo those changes.

Thank you. It worked fine and now I can use customize without a problem.

Oops, yes, I meant MobileMusicPlayer. Thanks for pointing that out.

And yes, it is ok if it still opens in WordPad.

Wow! Finally. The only thing hindering me from using the iPod.app was its incompatibility with Customize.
This works great! Thanks a lot!

Have you ever modified your N45AP.plist manually?
